First Aid Matters is a based company in Greenock, Scotland providing essential training in first aid, manual handling, fire training, health & safety and abrasive wheels to all sectors of business including industry, commerce, construction and the outdoors.
Phil Jones, the company’s principal teaching manager, has built up an extensive knowledge of all matters relating to the above mentioned training in various environments over a span of 25 + years. The resultant practical experience he has acquired from this puts him at the forefront of the training industry.
First Aid Matters follows a practical approach to training, utilising a scenario based learning technique to assist the student in reinforcing newly gained knowledge which, in turn, builds confidence and expertise.
All first aid courses incorporate the recent European Resuscitation Council changes and the HSE Approved Code of Practice. Approved by MCA, HSE
First Aid Matters understands that each workplace has specific and individual requirements. We tailor our courses to suit the requirements and resources of your organisation, with regard to value, time, and venue. We provide comprehensive training in specialist areas that is specifically designed to be flexible. This ensures that our Training courses deliver the right skills, to the right people at the right time, suiting the working practices of each individual organisation.
All courses can be modular and designed to reflect the specific requirements of your organisation, whether you are in low, medium or high risk category.
Our courses will ensure that your team will be trained in safe practices and made aware of the possible complications and dangers of incorrect procedures while dealing with specific training objectives.
In addition to meeting your organisation’s legal obligations, our range of courses is aimed at increasing employee confidence and further developing safety awareness.
All our training is provided by experienced instructors, trained and registered in line with the Health & Safety Executive regulations.
These are interactive and practical courses with the emphasis on understanding the principles of the training taking place.
The certificates for First Aid are valid for three years.
In order to ensure we are fulfilling our aims we offer an evaluation after each course.
