Description
The Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006 requires that all employees have fire safety training to comply with these regulations
Course Aims
To provide the participants with – an awareness of the principals of fire prevention, how to deal with small fires and the safety procedures once a fire has been detected.
Objectives
On completion of the training the participant will be able to:
- Identify fire extinguishers
- Choose the correct extinguisher
- Know fire evacuation procedures
- Operate fire extinguishers correctly
- Common causes of fire
- Human behaviour
Assessment
At the end of the course the participants will be asked to do a short written test to confirm understanding and awareness.
Qualification
On completion of this course the participant will be issued with a certificate of attendance and a training log sheet.
Suitability
This course is suitable for anyone who may come into contact with a potential fire.
